WASHINGTON -- More than 650 people entered an online lottery this week for 100 tickets available for Rep. John Katko's public forum that will be televised live Monday from Onondaga Community College.
After the strong response, WSTM-TV (Channel 3) and WTVH-TV (Channel 5) agreed to increase the number of available tickets to 150 for the event at 7 p.m. Monday at OCC's Storer Auditorium, said Rae Fulkerson, news director for the two Syracuse television stations.
Fulkerson said the stations randomly selected 150 names of 24th Congressional District residents who entered the online lottery, and notified the winners by Friday afternoon.
The decision to limit the number of tickets for an auditorium that seats more than 300 was the result of negotiations with Katko's office, Fulkerson said. Read full story here
