53% want Senate to vote on SCOTUS nominee Merrick Garland

Slightly more than half of Americans believe the Senate should hold a vote on President Obama’s nominee to the Supreme Court, according to a CBS News/New York Times poll released Tuesday.

Fifty-three percent said the Senate should act on Garland, while 42% said the Republican-controlled chamber should wait for the next President.
