Malone Announces Re-election Campaign

Doug Malone 20th district county legislator announces his intention to run for re-election. Malone a lifelong resident of the Town of Oswego, family man and local business owner will be have a position on the Democrat and Conservative lines. He currently serves on the Government & Strategic Planning and Community & Consumer affairs committees. He continues to advocate for the downsizing of the legislature. Doug worked hard to eliminate health benefits for new county legislators “We are part-time employees, and should not be getting full-time benefits”. Malone also worked on the law prohibiting the disruption at military funerals and cutting legislative committees from 13 to 7. Malone advocates taking out the automatic 5% pay raises in the budget, and would like to look into paying for dump stickers in June instead of January and continue and expand the use of credit cards as a convenience to county residents for payment of county services.

“I’ve owned my own business for 23 years and I know that holding the line on spending is important.” With your support I would like to continue serving the residents of the Town of Oswego and the County of Oswego. Please consider me when you vote on November 8, 2011 at Oswego town Hall. Make your vote count for better government.

Doug Malone is the father of three children, Brian, Rory and Meghan and has a grandson Leo. He owns Malones Garage and Storage. He is currently a trustee of the Oswego town Historical Society and social member of the Oswego town volunteer fire department, and 25 year member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians.
