Owens’ resolution honors troops, intelligence officers

Congressman Bill Owens, who represents Oswego County, introduced a resolution earlier this week on the House floor to honor the troops and intelligence officers who carried out the successful mission to kill Osama bin Laden Sunday in Abottabad, Pakistan.

“The team involved in the mission to kill Osama bin Laden deserves every American’s unwavering gratitude for bringing justice to the world’s most wanted terrorist,” Owens said. “This resolution expresses the gratitude of the House of Representatives to those involved for avenging the Americans who died on 9/11 and for going to extraordinary lengths to keep us safe and free.”
