Minority caucus seeks disqualification of vendor

The Oswego County Legislature’s Minority Caucus has submitted a written complaint requesting that a data management vendor be disqualified from the competition for a contract with the office of the county clerk.

The four Democrat legislators submitted a letter to Legislature Chairman Barry Leemann, alleging that County Clerk George Williams and Deputy Clerk of Operations Matthew Bacon violated the Code of Ethics by socializing with the principals of Info Quick Solutions, Inc. following a meeting that was held for the purpose of aiding the legislature in the awarding of a contract.

Following the meeting, Williams, Bacon, Williams’ wife Norma, IQS owner Bernard Owens and his son Brian Owens were spotted at a Fulton restaurant and were photographed leaving together.
