County employee picnic was a republican political fund-raiser????

The question of whether the picnic had been held in the past as a part of the re-election efforts of Legislator Louella LeClair following a report in Tuesday’s edition of the Syracuse Post Standard that stated Allen Manwaring had done part of a community service sentence “organizing a family picnic for Oswego County employees to help Louella LeClair in her re-election bid for county legislator.”

Manwaring was sentenced to perform 100 hours of community service three years ago for sexually harassing a teenage girl.

The information as to how Manwaring performed his community service came to light recently during a federal court trial over a sexual harassment lawsuit against Manwaring and the grocery store he once managed in Oswego, Paul’s Big M.

Manwaring reportedly testified in trial and at a pre-trial deposition that he served 80 hours of his community service sentence working for the Oswego County Republican Party, including the picnic.
