“Republicans Doug Hoffman and Dede Scozzafava have shown their dedication to the failed George Bush economic policies by promising to extend tax cuts for the very wealthy while middle class families in Upstate New York are struggling,” said Jon Boughtin, Owens campaign spokesman. “Today, Dede Scozzafava furthered her commitment to the failed policies of the past by signing the Americans for Tax Reform’s ‘Taxpayers’ Protection Pledge,’ something her own campaign called a ‘stunt’ earlier in the campaign.”

“It’s clear that both Republicans are committed to reverting back to the failed Bush economic agenda, but sadly that’s exactly what Upstate New York can’t afford right now,” said Boughtin.

The ad also lays out Bill Owens' plans for job creation, including investments in clean energy, using our colleges and tech schools to recruit jobs and taking away tax breaks for companies that send jobs overseas.
