Buckle Up Boys...GOP Take Over

OK...let me get this straight. The Senate GOP took over the NYS Senate yesterday AFTER the session had been adjourned with the assistance of two Democrats who are on their way out (one facing a trial on criminal charges, and the other being investigated by both the NYS Board of Elections and the NYS Attorney General for blatant abuse/misuse of campaign funds and violation of campaign finance laws). Then to top it off upstate "who knows what he stands for any more" Senator DeFrancisco administers the oath of office to the so-called "new" regime.

The so-called "new" regime then issues a lengthy written set of "rules reform" (never mind the fact that all the years the GOP controlled the NYS Senate they had absolutely no interest or intent concerning said reform), and rushes to a press conference with money man Tom Golisano who by all accounts engineered said coup (and who, for all of his wealth couldn't get himself elected to public office, and who recently moved to Florida to save $13,800 per day which is an obscene amount of money to many of us who have less than that as a yearly income after working our a**ses off all of our lives). Geeezzzz....what a crew.

Did I get that right so far? I can't believe rank and file Democrats (not to mention some of my p*ssed off Republican friends) are going to sit still for this. They're not going to be polite, temper their remarks, or just generally "play nice".

Buckle up boys...it's gonna be one hell of a wild ride for all of you. (Oh, and have a nice day...I've got a stack of voter registration forms to hand out to the above mentioned p*ssed off Republicans who are thoroughly disgusted with yesterday's debacle that you so cleverly engineered.)
